About the role
The Access to Education Service provides individual and small group teaching to students who are out of school. We provide education for students aged 5-16, many of whom have medical, complex SEN needs and/or challenging behaviour. The teaching may take place in the student's home or in a variety of settings within North West Surrey. We are currently recruiting experienced Learning Mentors to support the education of the pupils.
We are looking for three Learning Mentors who can support pupils to enable them to gain maximum benefit from their education and to enable them to successfully reintegrate into school or an alternative placement.
We currently have three 30 hours per week positions. All roles are term-time only.

Experience of teaching a range of complex SEN is essential. Current pupil needs include SEMH, ASD, ADHD, LD, SLD, MLD, SpLD. It would also be beneficial to have experience of working with children with medical needs as there is the potential for working with students with terminal or life limiting illnesses.
If you have experience of working with vulnerable children and young people and have IT skills (preferably with experience of using a Virtual Learning Environment) we would welcome your application.
Successful candidates will be expected to travel extensively around the NW area, including Woking, Surrey Heath and Runnymede so a full driving licence and the use of a car will be essential.
