Environmental Health Technical Officer (Senior)
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who wants to make a difference to people’s lives and the environment.
We are a busy, but friendly and supportive Environmental Health team. You will have a wide range of duties covering all aspects of public health, housing safety and nuisance, as well as air quality and water sampling.
You will be enthusiastic, committed, self-motivated, have a positive attitude, and be a problem solver. You will be an excellent communicator with sound time management skills and be confident in dealing with members of the public. You must be able to adapt to changing priorities, work to tight deadlines, and work effectively as part of a team.
Previous experience of working in a local authority Environmental Health setting would be desirable but it is not essential for this post as training will be given. The right person would also have the opportunity for professional training. Consideration will also be given to candidates who have attained their Environmental Health degree and are working towards their registration as an Environmental Health Practitioner.
