During the current times energy management is becoming a critical focus for all property owners. Woking Borough Council have a large commercial and retail property portfolio and are seeking a highly motivated Energy Management Officer to join its Property Services Team to assist with this critical function.

Working closely with the Senior Building Services Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting with procurement and contract management of the Council’s utilities contracts across the Council’s property estate, demonstrating energy performance and providing a robust evidence base for targeted energy reduction programmes. You will assist with the development of the Council’s Energy Management Strategy working closely with Council’s Green Infrastructure Team, to ensure delivery plans achieve energy and carbon reduction targets.

To succeed in this role you will have experience of managing energy, knowledge of relevant legislation, procurement and an ability to work collaboratively with external partners, funding bodies and senior stakeholders across the Council.
