Working as a key member of the electoral service team in the heart of Surrey, your working day will be varied and fascinating. You will be fully involved in the delivery of a wide variety of elections and referendums.

It offers an exciting opportunity to undertake a wide variety of training and development opportunities, including relevant qualifications. You will be supported fully to develop your skills and abilities in your role.

The successful candidate will be educated to at least A-level or relevant vocational qualification level with previous administrative experience and will have good IT skills, including Microsoft Office. 

You will have interest in a career in electoral services and have knowledge / experience of the electoral process as well as an understanding of political decision-making in local government. You will be able to work in a confidential and political environment with the ability to understand, apply and work in accordance with legislation.

Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills will be essential as will the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines with strong attention to detail.
