We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and empathetic person to join our Housing team.
As an IRL Manager you will deliver a high-quality service to residents in one of our five Independent Retirement Living Housing schemes in New Haw. You will be the key contact for the residents to ensure the day-to-day well-being of them in the context of activities, health and safety, safeguarding and reporting maintenance of the facilities at the scheme, to ensure that expected standards are met.
You will have excellent listening and communication skills as the role requires you to liaise with residents, their families, colleagues, and external agencies to ensure their individual needs are met.
You will be able to understand the needs of older people to ensure that their continued independence and optimum quality of life is maintained. Using imagination, skill and sensitivity to identify problems before they occur and take steps to avoid them. You will need to provide support, advice, assistance and promote choices to enable residents to continue to live independently within their local community.
Each scheme offers secure, comfortable self-contained accommodation designed with the needs of older residents in mind.
In this varied role you will be required to work on your own and use your initiative to deal with difficult situations in a calm, positive and non-judgemental manner. You will be part of the wider IRL team and will work together to bring to life the modernisation programme and the Older People Strategy.
A clean driving licence, access to your own vehicle and clear enhanced DBS check is required for this role.
As part of the role you will be required to participate in the out of hours on call rota covering overnight, weekends and some bank holidays.
