The starting salary for this position is £31,273 per annum based on a 36 hour working week (pro-rata for part-time).

We are looking to appoint two enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to work within the Education, Lifelong Learning and Culture Service. One of these appointments will be on a permanent basis and the other on a fixed term contract basis until September 2022.

Opportunities Available:

  • 1 x permanent contract, full time (36 hours per week) starting salary £31,273 per annum
  • 1 x permanent contract, part-time (21.6 hours per week), starting salary £18,763 per annum
  • 3 x 10 to 12 month fixed term contract, full-time (36 hours per week), starting salary £31,273 per annum

We are looking for proactive individuals to join us in moving forward with continuous improvements and working towards robust and positive outcomes for our children and young people.

On a day-to-day basis you will be working closely with families of children and young people with special needs and disabilities, education settings and other agencies, to ensure bespoke, holistic delivery plans are in place to best assist the young person and their family. However, this role does not involve working directly with the children and young people.

Your reflective nature and passionate approach will see you driving forward improvements whilst your effective organisation and communication skills ensure you deliver high quality work.

To be shortlisted to interview for this position your application will clearly evidence:

  • Good knowledge of educational settings, including further education and a willingness to develop this further
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to analyse professional reports to write legally compliant Education Health and Care Plans
  • Experience of working with vulnerable children, young people and their families
  • Experience of working to deadlines and managing priorities
  • Ability to manage a significant caseload with a high volume of correspondence
