Reporting directly to the Corporate Head of Community Service, this is an exciting new position in which the successful candidate will assist the Corporate Head in creating and reviewing policies and strategies relating to the business functions of Community Services.  This work will also involve working with partners, other local authorities, health authorities in the delivery of our Health and Wellbeing Strategy.  You will have the opportunity to lead or participate in community-based projects and would be expected to undertake research and/or data analysis for the Corporate Head.

To be successful in this position you are likely to be a graduate/postgraduate with potentially two years’ experience in either a local authority policy development role or working corporately in project management in the private sector. Ideally you will have a track record of contributing to various projects. You will be articulate with excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to liaise effectively with all stakeholders.

Methodical and highly organised, you will be familiar with project methodologies, calm under pressure with an amicable, patient nature and an ability to get on with a wide range of people.
