Salary £50,356 - £54,063 pa plus essential car allowance
36 Hours per week (5 year Fixed Term Contract)
This is an exciting new role for a chartered surveyor, with passion for housing to make a real difference in Spelthorne. As a Property Acquisition Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for the delivery of a 5-year Capital Programme to purchase street properties in accordance with the Council’s housing requirements and in accordance with the programme, as well as arranging to procure for renovation/adaptation of the properties (as required) and to manage the project through to completion. The properties will be offered to those on the Council Housing Register at an affordable rent.
To be successful in this role you will need to be a Chartered Building Surveyor and have experience of delivering property acquisition and managing renovation projects. Experience of working for a local government, would be desirable, but it’s not essential. Knowledge of Spelthorne property market would be an advantage.
As a Property Acquisition Project Manager, you will need to be a good negotiator, calm under pressure, as well as being honest, reliable and flexible in providing the service and advice as required. You will also be able to tailor your approach to communicate information effectively.
You will be organised, able to work independently and manage your time well to ensure you are able to meet changing workloads. You will need to be confident in the use of ICT and preparation of survey reports and advising on suitability of investment.
A full driving licence and access to a car is essential for this role.
This post is identified as a hybrid post supporting both office and home working in line with Spelthorne Borough Council’s policy. The post holder will be required to attend the office in line with a rota and any service requirements.
