The starting salary for this position is £29,025 per annum (pro rata to £36,282 FTE), working 28.8 hours per week.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Supervising Social Worker for 28.8 hours per week working within the Supported Lodgings Team, supporting carers and young people aged 16-25. The position will be based in Redhill but covering the whole of Surrey. You will need to be able to travel throughout the county and be prepared to work some evenings.
The team is part of the Fostering Service which recruits, assesses and supports people who offer family-based Supported Lodgings for young people who are leaving the care system.
The work is varied and no two days are the same so you need to be adaptable and enjoy a challenge. The Supported Lodgings Team is a small but busy team which is committed to the provision of a quality service.
Your role will involve working with Supported Lodgings Providers and with young people alongside other professionals both inside and out of county. The primary focus of the Supervising Social Worker role will be supervising Carers, as well as recruiting and assessing new applicants for the scheme.
The successful candidates will be part of a creative fostering service that works with the theories of trauma, attachment and loss, social pedagogy and restorative practice to ensure the best outcomes for our young people.
Self-motivated and accustomed to working to deadlines, you will have good IT and communication skills, with experience of establishing and nurturing multi-agency relationships.

- Experience of working with children and young people and a comprehensive knowledge of legislation relating to Looked After Children and Care Leavers.
- An ability to be able to work directly with the wider public, Carers and young people and be able to produce clear, evidence based and analytical assessments
- Flexibility to be able to work evenings and occasional weekends, as the role includes attending recruitment events and home visits outside office hours
- You need to be a qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England
- Access to own transport
