The starting salary for this position is £16,348 per annum, increasing to £19,233 in year 2, based on a 36-hour working week.

During your apprenticeship with us, you will receive excellent training and development opportunities, working with a variety of teams across Adult Social Care. You will be fully supported and mentored throughout and be given protected time to complete work relating to your qualification. You will learn about the different services that we offer and gain of variety of skills whilst receiving support and training for your apprenticeship. You will enjoy working with people and be interested in gaining experience of direct work with a range of the Council’s stakeholders.
Our current opportunity is for a Finance Assistant Apprenticeship to join the East Area Finance Team - the focus of this role primary role in ensuring payments are made as per the payment policies of SCC for commissioned social care packages of care as well as a range of other Finance tasks. You’ll also provide a variety of business administration support tasks including auditing data & preparing financial reports. You’ll learn and put into practise a variety of transferable communication and business skills to support the smooth running of the team/s you support.
