IT&D Senior Technician
The starting salary for this role is £34,356 per annum based on a 36 hour working week.

The User Experience team provides a quick response to urgent issues while still meeting targets and objectives for all our customers. Help and support is tailored to each customer regardless of their own IT skills and experience.
Our customers work from home, office or other flexible spaces and the team aims to provide the best quality service regardless of location.
The team supports over 6000 staff members across 200 offices. While many of our customers are based in our main hub offices (Reigate, Woking and Weybridge), other offices range from: Libraries, Youth Centres, Fire Stations and Hospitals.
About the role
As a Senior Technician you will be based in the office 5 days a week offering remote and face-to-face support. To support you in your role you will be issued a laptop, mobile phone and access to a work vehicle as some travel is expected.
You are expected to manage your own workload and keep customers updated of their Service Requests using their preferred or most appropriate contact. This can be face-to-face, email, chat or phone, therefore, communication skill using plain English is critical.
As well as your own workload, you will be expected to work in harmony with your colleagues to achieve the team's targets and objectives.
The team's primary focus is to ensure every member of staff has suitable, working IT equipment that supports and enhances their ability to carry out their daily duties. Issuing laptops to new members of staff on their first working day is critical. You must be able to think ahead and prepare for upcoming Service Requests to ensure all new staff receive a good experience. There will also be opportunities to work on projects, assisting in the planning and delivery, while keeping to timescales agreed with the customer.
About you
You will have good software and hardware skills with experience of re-imaging devices, assessing physical damage, diagnosing issues, repairing, cleaning and updating equipment. The ideal candidate will be used to updating Service Requests with detailed notes which are see by customer and colleagues. You will be familiar with ITIL processes such as Configuration Management Database, Change Management, Problem Management
To be considered for shortlisting, your application will clearly evidence:
- 3 years experience working in a similar role
- Experience of different laptops and PC types, and working with Windows OS, Office and Teams
- Knowledge of ITIL
- Strong communication skills and be able to work as part of a team
- Full UK driving license
