 We currently have vacancies in our Street Cleansing Department; some of the duties include:

  • Driving ‘compact’ Sweeper (Subject to training and gaining appropriate licence)
  • Undertake, working alone or as part of a team, the cleansing of highways and other areas.
  • Litter-picking
  • Manual Sweeping
  • Driving 35 cwt Pickup Truck
  • Utilise ‘Orderly Barrow’
  • Litter Bin emptying
  • Graffiti removal
  • Collecting & Removing Fly-tipping
  • Other General Cleansing Work

A current driving license is essential for 3.5 tonne trucks.

Working hours are to be agreed between 18-36 hours per week. You could work 2 days per week or 5 days but your pattern of work must include Saturday and Sunday minimum 6am -2pm /7am -3pm. We are open to flexibility.
