Havering is one of the most exciting places for an outstanding regeneration professional to be right now. Already one of London’s largest boroughs geographically, Havering is of paramount importance to the City’s successful expansion as London moves East.
We have many major regeneration and development programmes. Delivery of a step change in housing delivery can be seen in our Housing Regeneration Programme. 3,500 homes across 12 development sites will be achieved through our Joint Venture Partnership with Wates Residential - a partnership committed to creating great places and building high quality homes. Crossrail, the region’s newest high frequency, high capacity railway with three stations in the borough, together with the incredibly exciting Romford Leisure Development. This key project will dramatically renew the area’s cultural offering.
We are in an ideal location for one of Heathrow’s Logistic Hubs. A successful bid will support a growth in employment opportunities for local people and establish a sustainable manufacturing centre.

You will already operate at a strategic senior management level and, as an experienced professional, your broad knowledge of regeneration, affordable housing and programme management will be much in demand. You will be comfortable leading a professional team of c35FTE staff and contractors, who will look to you for leadership and a clear sense of direction.
You will be driven by the passion to make a difference, inspire trust and have an empowering approach that gets the very best out of people. You will understand the importance of both leading and listening and do so equally.
Equally key, will be well developed political skills, a strong ability to influence/negotiate and establish credibility with key stakeholders and partners.
